Bookkeeper Job Description

We are looking to add a skilled Bookkeeper that focuses on providing superior accounting services for our clients who is outgoing and professional in their interactions with clients and have strong attention to detail.  They will be responsible for providing accounting, bookkeeping, and other financial tasks like keeping financial records updated, preparing reports, enter batch transactions and reconciling bank statements through accounting software QuickBooks.  A successful Bookkeeper should be familiar with accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers to ensure the clients daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.

Prior experience with bookkeeping is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Education or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of experience with courses in business
  • Proficient with Internet, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook Email and other applications.
  • Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to answer questions
  • Must be self-motivated, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Client service oriented with the ability to deal tactfully and effectively
  • Strong work ethic
  • Maintain confidential information
  • US work authorization

Preferred:

  • An Associate Degree in Accounting and/or experience in bookkeeping and business office procedures including accounts receivable, cash management, payroll, accounts payable, bank reconciliation
  • QuickBooks
  • Microsoft Excel (VLookups, Sumifs, Pivot Tables, etc.)

  • $36,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
